Digital paint study 2 (2 hours)

I take no credit for the design of the character or pose.  This was meant only as a piece to study painting technique and color use within a set time limit.

Got hung up on the face and it ate up a lot of the time.

Concept Design Academy UPDATE 2

Update 2:
Thanks for your input, bros. I tried to fix everything you pointed out. Taking another break from this piece of crap now.

Not viscom 4, but a step forward

My figure drawing has always been really rough so I'm happy to say that in the last few weeks I'm starting to see some improvements. Slowly but surely.

Vis. Comm. 4

Tagged along with the viscomm 4 class when they went to the arboretum last week. Lots of fun!

Anyhow, I'm only posting a few examples here since I dont' want to flood. if you want to see the others, just scoot over to my blog.

Objective: use the brush pen to study gesture, and silhouette, and being forced not to noodle on details. Or... just an excuse to use the brushpen :P

Anonymous Comments

Hey folks.. Someone made a very good point that to solicit more open criticism, to enable anonymous comments, so I did. Now you can crit people anonymously. Go for it :)

Some of those bug bots again..

some of the freelance I've done recently was posted; some pretty bad perspective, but I think the modelers will get the idea. It would be more accurate, but it wasn't what you would call a 'well paying' gig.

Here's mine.. was about 2 hrs, got lazy. Made a new brush though, and learned some interesting color stuff. Did you guys notice the sky is pink in the ref? I thought it was my eyes at first, but the color picker proves it.
